"Eminence" Lil' Buddy 10" Speaker Review!
The "Lil' Buddy" is very resistant to feedback and touch sensitive to every nuance of your playing style!

The Lil' Buddy made by Eminence Speakers right here in the United States is a lot like the "Man O War" 12 inch in that they are very resistant to feedback.I never realized before I started using Eminence Speakers what a difference a speaker could make not only in your overall sound but also to help reduce feedback if the right speaker is chosen.Picking the right speaker for your application makes as much difference as the intrument you use,the amp(circutry),power and preamp tubes! Some people argue that you should sound good no matter what gear you use but I beg to differ with that train of thought. The right gear can enhance and even expand your musical horizons as well as inspire you to go beyond your limits!
The Lil' Buddy is very pronounced in the lows and mids and has a nice breakup-smooth-not harsh at all.It reminds me of a B-3 organ through a Leslie cab when I play octaves on my harmonicas. The Lil' Buddy has a reedy-woody texture when driven hard using low key harmonicas.
When I switched to the key of A harmonica my amp became so responsive that every little move in my mouth-tongue position, how tightly cupped I held the mic and harp, every little nuance simply came out of the speaker in 3-D Sound! This speaker would be perfect to tame a brightly voiced amp/guitar or to pair with a brighter speaker to give you a hybrid sound.
I try to be as objective in my reviews as humanly possible but I do have my subjective views as well. Please visit the "Eminence" Toneguide page to assist you in making the best possible choice of speakers for your application. Also, call or visit your local "Eminence" dealer for their opinion as well. There are some great user reviews at Harmony-Central/Eminencethat provide good insight from the actual users themselves.
